About the Project
Part of our scope on the Southern Expressway Duplication, was the installation of a series of multiplate culverts in three different locations.

One of which consisted the extending of a section that was already in place. This work involved the placement of a base slab first, which included the installation of a galvanised section in order to commence and tie in the bottom row of plates. Then from there, each section was installed piece by piece tensioning as we progressed in order to maintain the camber. Once complete each bolt and nut needed to be torqued to a specified Nm in order to meet the requirement of the specification. Then once complete, we closed off the end with a concrete head wall and capping.
