South Rd Urban Superway Project

The $812m South Road Urban Superway Project was the most expensive road project in SA's history and was awarded to a Joint Venture between John Holland, Macmahon Contractors and Leed Engineering and Construction Pty Ltd. The Urban Superway delivered a 4.8km non-stop highway corridor connecting the Port River Expressway to Regency Road, north of Adelaide and included a 2.8km elevated roadway. Construction commenced in 2010 and completed in 2013.

Jamtek Structural completed the FRP works to the precast yard. This comprised 12,000m2 of concrete slabs and 10 pile caps each taking 150-200m3 of concrete. The project was completed at record pace to provide the works to the client in only 12 weeks.
